Class Announcements Raz-KidsPlease view notice that was sent home on today, 11/23/09 about Raz-Kids. Each child was given a log in information sheet. They can use this to support their reading at home. Don't forget to log in the minutes read on the Redskins Reading Challenge. We had our highest reading minutes total this week of over 2,900 minutes. I am looking for this number to double. Thank you! Have a "Terrific Thanksgiving"! Happy Reading!!!
"Fantastic Friday"I am looking for volunteers to participate in "Fantastic Friday". This is when we play reading games from 10:00 to 10:30. I have two volunteers, but am looking for more. If interested, please let me know! Thank you!
In-School Reading IncentiveOur In-School Reading Incentive Program is up and running. I am still taking volunteers to listen to the children read on each Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00-10:30. If you are interested, please let me know which day you are available. I have someone for Tuesday. Thank you!
Vocabulary QuizOur first vocabulary quiz is under our belt! We had an overall score of 80%. There were 10 children that scored a perfect score of 100% ! Excellent!!! I am so proud of the boys and girls. I am looking to increase our overall percentage on the next quiz. Thank you for your support and allowing your child to study nightly.
We will be taking our next quiz on Friday 12/04/09. The children are excited about this quiz. I will inform you of the progress. We will take our next vocabulary quiz on 12/16/09. ***Our next vocabulary quiz will be on January 13, 2010. This is our last quiz from the first quarter words. When we take our quiz on Jan. 27, it will include words from the 1st and 2nd quarters. You may begin studying the words from both quarters.
